Vazhakkai ( Plantain ) chips

Vazhakkai chips is the great snack for kids .
It is very simple and quick to make unlike
the potato chips .
Ingredients
Vazhakkai - 2
Oil to fry
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1tsp
Salt to taste
Method
  • Peel the skin of Vazhakkai . Cut into thin slices using the kitchen slicer.
  • With one tsp of oil mix chilli powder , turmeric powder and salt.
  • Mix this with sliced Vazhakkkais.
  • Heat oil in a wok.
  • Deep fry the slices handful at a time.
  • Take out from the oil when it turns crispy.

Vazhakkai chips is the best accompaniment for Sambhar rice and curd rice.
