Ribbon pakoda is a good snack and we can store
it for a week.
Ingredients
Parboiled rice – 2 cups
Besan flour – 1 cup
Roasted gram – 1 cup
Hing – 1 pinch
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Butter – 1 tblsp
Oil to fry
Method
o Soak rice in water for 2 hrs
o Grind it to a nice paste in the grinder.Add hing and chilli powder to it
o Powder the roasted gram and sieve it together with besan flour.
o Add the flours ,butter to the rice paste forming a soft dough.
o Heat oil in the kadai
o Take some dough and put it in the murukku press and directly make pakodas in oil
o Remove it from fire when it is golden brown.
Tips
The oil should be very hot for Ribbon pakoda.
