A simple stir fry and perfect for the great
lunch menu.This is another dish I used to
cook whenever Amma leaves the city before
marriage.
Ingredients
Vazhakkai - 1
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Onions - 1 chopped
Method
- Peel the skin of plantain and chop it into thin slices.
- Heat oil in a nonstick pan.
- Add onions and saute well . Add curry leaves.
- To this add chopped Vazhakkai and mix well.
- Add all the powders and salt one by one and saute well.
- Keep stirring in between.
- If you want crispier fry for 5 more min in a low flame.

I add only chili powd and salt and fry! Quick one isn't it!
I add riceflour to give more crispiness, never thought of adding onion...

I love this dishe, my mom used to make these too.
Not too much of oil and they look so good a perfect side for rice...
of all the poriyals..this was the one I used to love taking to school!
