Arusuvai Friendship Chain is about sending along a surprise
ingredient as a gift to your friends for them to prepare something
tasty with it, share the recipe, and pass on other surprise
ingredients to more people. Arusuvai means six tastes
(aru=six, suvai=taste) in Tamizh and is used to refer for
Tasty preparation with six tastes - inippu/ thithippu (sweet),
orappu/ karam (hot), kassappu (bitter) , pulippu (sour),
uppu(salt), tuvarpu (tastes that one gets in raw leaves).
When Lathamma started the arusuvai friendship chain
I was an non- blogger then but eagerly visited all the blogs.
I never thought that I would also be a part of this beautiful
chain.Ramya of Mane Adige has sent across the surprise
ingredient.It is bit easy to find the ingredient as it is in
our daily breakfast table in the form of chutney....
It is Channa Dahlia ( pottukadalai in tamil).

i would love to have the surprise ingredient kamala, but v will be shifting to another state very soon. so i will miss the ingredient second time..1st time i have already said no to another fren of mine.. i feel so guilty abt that..im not even cooking these days :D im just posting the recipes which i have already saved as drafts ..
